K Club---Stylish Sophistication Amid this Ireland Five-Star Hotel - "Experience the grandeur of an elegant 19th-century mansion estate, where the highest standards of gracious living are embodied within a luxurious Ireland five-star hotel. Set upon almost 500 acres – 202 hectares – of lush countryside, The K Club possesses two of the finest championship golf courses in Ireland. Lush, classical surroundings reflect elements of the area’s history and reveal the best of Ireland 5-star hotel accommodation."       Courtesy www.preferred hotels.com

The Island Golf Club -  "This beautiful links course, in splendid isolation, is surrounded by the Irish Sea, Donabate Beach and Broadmeadow Estuary. Nestling between the highest sand dunes of any links course in Ireland, it's rugged beauty cannot fail to impress. For sheer awe -inspired by 25 foot-high dunes, vaguely lunar crevasses running through terrain and challenging greens - the best choice is the The Island Golf Club. It was ranked number 26 in Golf World's Top 100 "must play" courses in the world."  Courtesy www.discoverireland.ie

Portmarnock Golf Links-  "The Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links sits on Ireland's east coast in the heart of Ireland's golfing region.  A blend of the old & new, this elegant hotel was created from the former home of the famous Jameson Whiskey family. Luxurious modern accommodation alongside the lovingly restored public areas of the 19th century building. Set on 180 acres of seaside links terrain, the 138 rooms overlook the sea on one side with garden or golf course views on the other side. The Portmarknock Golf Links was designed by master champion Bernard Langer. Located 15 mins drive from Dublin Airport & 30 mins from the city centre."  Courtesy Irelandhotels.com

Cool things to do when we aren't chasing the little ball around the countryside:

Howth-     Click on the picture gallery!!!   Howth offers many activities, from wonderful hill walks with enthralling views, to boating trips, angling, many Bars and fine Restaurants (with fresh fish daily! ), to a weekly market situated on the West Pier of Howth Harbour. For generations Dubliners have enjoyed the sanctuary of the Howth Sutton peninsula which also attracts day trippers from all over Ireland, making it one of the capital city’s best loved destinations. Howth people are justifiably proud of their old fishing village where fisherman operate a full fleet of Trawlers from the Harbour. Nowadays visitors can been entertained by the presence of 10-20 Seals who have taken up residence in the Harbour and can be seen from the West Pier. The Seals have become a huge attraction for visitors and locals alike and a great many people can be seen strolling in the area during the summer months especially."

Arts and Culture  Book of Kells, Trinity College, The Writer's Museum, Abbey and Gate Theater, art museums, Guinness Factory, just to name a few things you could do while in Dublin.
