Should I take a class, clinic, mini camp or private lesson?
Classes are a great way to learn, meet people and improve your skills at an affordable rate.
Clinics are usually topic specific and for people who are already students. Clinics are ideal for enhancing your skills.
Private lessons are more expensive but better if you have something specific you need to work on. Also good for people who have trouble focusing in a group setting.
Mini Camps are designed to immerse you in the game for a 4 hour stretch. If you are a new golfer, this is helpful as it gives you an over view of the game in one day. For experienced golfers, it allows you to work on skills and then apply them on the golf course.
Should I take a 30 minute or 60 minute lesson?
If it is our first lesson together, please sign up for an hour. If you want to work on more than one aspect of your game, than an hour is necessary. Otherwise, usually a half hour is sufficient.
Where do we meet? When should I arrive?
Full swing lessons--range
Short game--putting green or chipping green
Bunkers--back of the range
When should I arrive? Plan on arriving at the range or putting green at least 10 minutes prior to your lesson. You want to be stretched and ready to go, as well as get into the proper frame of mind. If it is a playing lesson, you may want to warm up on the range first, so at least 30 minutes prior to the lesson.
If Julieta is practicing, please be considerate as she only gets a very brief time to work on her own game. Disturbing another player's practice is poor etiquette.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of motion. Shoes should be flat soled, no heels. Golf courses often have dress codes such as collared shirts for men, no tee shirts, no denim, etc. All I ask is that you dress appropriately for the weather. Staying warm in cool weather is especially important to keep your muscles supple.
Do I need golf clubs?
If you have them, bring them. I can provide clubs for you if you email a request to me. Be sure to include whether you are right or left handed and how tall you are.
Where do I pay for my lesson?
Payments may be made in the pro shop or at the driving range driving at Pine Ridge. Visa, MC accepted. Checks with ID made to BMGC (Balt. Municipal Golf Corp).
Cancellation procedure/policy?
24 hours prior to lesson or class-48 hours for mini camps or junior camps. No charge.
If you are cancelling on the day of the lesson, please call the driving range or pro shop. 410-252-7612 or 410-252-1408
